These are the essential purchases I've made throughout May!

Has anyone else been getting sunburnt?! I found this fantastic SPF 30 spray sun cream in B&M whilst doing some revision essential shopping. It sprays no matter how you hold the bottle, and doesn't smell of that generic sun cream scent.. In fact I don't think it has a strong scent at all!

Also in B&M I spotted a lilac plant pot.. I searched for more and lo and behold there was this awesome light mushroom pot! I'm keeping my base make-up in it. 99p. Bargain.

Also for Summer I bought this sunnies from Topshop. I'm in love with them so much. I just can't explain it.. There's many a picture of me with them on in instagram.

As a quick purchase as I was in need of a cheap lilac nail varnish for an outfit for a meal, I went for Barry M's Gelly nails in Prickly Pear. I'm currently wearing it with sparkles over the top - I feel a bit Barbie!

Oops Laura Emily, are we a bit late!
Both last month and this month have been chaotic, in and out of hospital, the end of uni and the start of revision for exams! Here is my April favourites!

This month I splashed out and got myself the Smoked Palette from Urban Decay. I had a complete make over done by the fab lady in the Debenhams Lincoln store, and I may have to cheekily purchase the Urban Decay foundation - I have more research to do and more BB cream to run out of, however!
My favourite shade of the whole palette is mushroom - this is the main colour that the mua used in the lower picture.

This month I have also preferred using a powder highlight - it comes in the form of MUA's Undress your Skin Highlighting Powder. For something so cheap compared to my Benefit  High Beam, it is amazing! I may never look back.. It's a beautiful powder in itself as well - just the right amount of pink shimmer. I have been setting my makeup with the MUA fixer as well - I am highly impressed with some of their stuff!

Earlier in April I was wearing a lot of cat eyeliner, and after my recent post about eyeliners I did buy a new one. This was particularly because I went to a fancy dress party as a Spring cat. I bought some lovely flowery cat ears from New Look which are perfect for festivals!

Primark has been good to me this month.. I picked up a few simple items, not so fashionable but comfy to wear. I also picked up a pretty ring which has been attached to my finger! It was in the sale and I'm so happy with it. I've been wearing it with midi rings.

I've also loved wearing simple tops with light and dark blue jeans, this top is from New Look and I love the simplicity of throwing on a top and it just looking OK!

Pictures are all from my instagram x please give me a follow :)

Collection Fast Stroke Liner in Black Waterproof, Market Stall Silver Liquid Liner, Urban Decay 24/7 in Perversion, Rimmel Scandaleyes in 001 Black, Benefit BADgal Liner in Espresso

I recently threw away my gel liner in favour of a pen and, well, the return of liquid liner.
It's easier for one, and co operates with laziness - I can never be bothered to clean my gel liner brushes!

But I hit a snag. Gel liner can last for a long time in the pot, whilst liquid and pen liners run out quickly. If pen liners do work, they only begin to work on one side and not the very nib, which is what I use to create winged liner. My liquid liner crumbles easily, ruining the effect.

So what do I do? Should I splurge on a more expensive liner just for it to run out? Go to the old age pencil liner? Or do I wait? On the plus side, my favourite pencil liners are completely waterproof, I find myself having to use different types of makeup remover just to get the remnants from my eyes! But it's not an ideal solution.

Benefit are due to release their new eyeliner in June at the price of £18.50. Looks super easy right? It is going to be in the 'They're Real' range and I can't wait to have a play with one! The hashtag for this product is #criminallyeasy, and I really do hope this product lives up to the promise of being easy - the insiders of Elle seem to think so!

But remember, with all liner styles, practice makes perfect!
