YORKSHIRE 2014

For an end of uni treat, I travelled up to York to visit one one of my uni friends for three days. We travelled around the East Riding and did lots of fun stuff!

On the first day, we spent our time in York, visiting the Jorvik Centre, Castle Museum, The Castle Gardens where we found some birds of prey, having lunch at Pizza Express where I had a Chicken Caesar Salad and Banoffee Pie, Bowling, playing pool and finally eating dinner at Frankie and Benny's where I had a lovely pizza with mushrooms, goats cheese, pepper and some other lovely toppings.

Checking out some History as a History Student!

On the second day, we had a more relaxed day with a riding lesson, taking the dogs for a walk, playing board and card games, taking another dog for another walk, and playing with Lego - very nostalgic.

On the final day, we got up early to visit GO Ape - I have been to the one in Cannock Chase before, so it was nice to experience a different course. We then went to the beach in Scarborough, doing the traditional things such as eating ice cream and playing in the arcades, writing things in the sand and dipping our toes in the FREEZING sea. We then had waffles and it was time for me to head home..
..Which is a story in itself! Firstly we went completely the wrong way, then the car started making some interesting noises, turning a normal car into a boy racer car, missed two trains and finally caught an evening train home - which was delayed! Just my luck!

As an avid traveller I love adventure and urge you to do the same - it doesn't have to cost as much as I've spent - in York and Yorkshire there are many free things to do; our second day gives a few ideas of things you can do for free.
