Nearing the end of November, I've started my Christmas shopping.
Having already finished a lil' box for someone special, I then went on the search for everyone else, when I remembered House of Wonderland from the Lincoln Blogger Meet goody bags! Their cute Beatles designs are so quaint and quirky that I decided to check out the rest of their store. Their gifts are handmade and eco-friendly.

We used to have a tradition of Christmas Eve gifts, and for a nine year old I found this super cute mini set, Magic Sparkly Reindeer Treats, which include Reindeer flying power - rolled oats, Christmas magic - sugar stars and Hopeful wishes - glitter. Even I, at 20 years old, would love to leave Rudolph some little treaties! This gift is £3, totally affordable as a stocking filler or night before Christmas mini surprise.
This sparkling oatmeal is food for the most magical of animals, powering Santa's reindeer on their long but endlessly exciting journey around the globe. If you sprinkle it on your lawn it will guide them down for a safe landing, leave a little by your stocking too and see it disappear by morning.

These earrings appealed to me due to their universal taste - there's no guessing on what someone may or may not like. As well as the pink, they come in a sea green colour and a grey. They are glass, so look super chic yet simple. This gift is £5, yet another affordable but amazing surprise!
These delicate little square shaped earrings are simple and elegant enough for everyday wear. The pretty glass pieces are hand selected and have an amazing quality to them. They are lightweight and very minimalist. They measure approx 10mm x 10mm in size and come secured to a silver coloured stud earring post. Each earring fastens with a metal butterfly stopper.

This necklace is hand drawn, and is an obvious choice for photography lovers. This gift is £8.
This gorgeous illustrated camera charm necklace makes a perfect gift for any keen photographer. T he hand cut acrylic charm measure approx 35mm x 30mm in size and is secured to a 16" silver coloured chain.

When I came across this, I instantly thought of one of my closest friends who is an active feminist. Banner necklaces come in an array of colours and you can even choose your own message, meaning that it is even more personal. I'd personalise it with a pet name for someone, an update to the old friendship bracelets that's a bit more inconspicuous. This gift is £10.
This gorgeous pastel coloured banner necklace is fantastic for making a bold statement. This was designed by House Of Wonderland on a graphics tablet. Not exciting I know but designing our pieces from scratch enables us to offer you a really unique item. Each charm is hand cut from acrylic and the image has been sealed with varnish. The charm measures approx 40mm x 10mm in size and comes secured to a gold coloured 16" chain with lobster clasp.

I'm in love with this necklace.. In fact I'm in love with all moon related gifts! I think this would be super cute for anyone! It has a matching earring set, you could go all out moon-themed! As it is handmade, each moon is different, adding to the cuteness! This gift is £9.
Meet our happy little moon.  This cheery little necklace is the perfect addition to your collection. He will look majestic around anyone’s neck, at any occasion. He is very good at brightening your day, and everyone else’s as well. Simple and charming, this is a quirky take on your average moon. They make a great talking point for any situation. He is approx 30mm and comes attached to a 16 inch silver chain.

For a family gift, to hang up or go on the tree, is this personalised bobble. On the front it has 'The ___ Clan', and on the back it says 'Christmas 2014' - a special way to remember this year. It is made of wood, and is fairly rustic, playing to the shabby chic tinglies!
Personalised to your own clan, these bobbles welcome Christmas 2014 with a green backdrop dotted with pinprick snowflakes. Great to hang on the tree, or round the house, these are specific to your family. If you dig them out next year the date will serve as a reminder of the awesome Christmas you had in 2014, and the wonderful Christmases yet to come. Made from ecologically sourced wood and tied with rustic brown string, these little charms measure 2" and are a perfect pre-Christmas gift or decoration.

(Photo not taken by myself)

On the 16th November, I cycled into town to attend the (first?!) Lincoln Bloggers Club Meet, arranged by the super lovely Aimee of Aimee Belle. We firstly visited Lush Lincoln, and then Rock, Paper, Scissors with a talk by Suzie from Xenca, with added scrummy tea and cake! This post will feature Lush - the next post will feature developed photos.

As always when I'm in town, I got a duck and hoisin sauce wrap from Boots, avoiding the make-up. I then met up with Tasnim and Frankie before heading to Lush.

 Holly GoLightly
The Christmas Penguin

Lush were so lovely to show us the six new shampoo bars coming your way next week. These include: Jason and the Argan Oil, Brazilliant, Lullaby, Copperhead, Montalbano, and Honey I Washed my Hair.
Montalbano stood out by far - the strong scent of fresh lemons filled by citrus cravings right up - I always always sway towards the citrussy scents in Lush.. I would also love to see the results with Copperhead - this contains Henna (the design is also super rad..)

Adding to how kindly amazing Lush were, was reflected in our bags:

 Creamy Candy Bubble Bar

From Dusk 'til Dawn Massage Bar

I also treated myself to two things from the Christmas range - I promised myself I wouldn't buy anything, but I just got so pulled in.. Lush also kindly threw in Fizzbanger. I used this in my bath as soon as I got home, and had some bubbles with Sparkly Pumpkin as well.

 Luxury Lush Pud
The Melting Snowman

Thankyou again to Aimee for organising such a chilled meet up, see you again for part 2 of this post!

Now we're done with Hallowe'en, I thought I'd do a little life update..

I stated on the 27th September that I would take a break from blogging due to upsetting news. It is now nearly two months since I found out the terrible news of Keilan's death. He has featured on many of my blog posts, a great help with photography, and generally the best person to be around.

I would love him to be remembered as a great, happy, bubbly person. You can watch him on YouTube: IAmKeilan

There's a lot I never got to say to Key, but he inspires me every day to try and be the best me I can be. He told me once that "It's easy to be nice, just be nice".
His popularity and presence astounded me, at gigs, at uni, at parties and get together's among many more.

I met Keilan on the 22nd September 2012. He had never had a girl 'fangirl' over his name before. The first question I asked was 'are you Irish?!' This went into the spiel of his name. Everyone knows this story, he was an amazing story teller. We then bonded immediately over Nerfighteria and other random bits and bobs.

Keilan spent the night holding my hand, not letting go until he had to leave for work. This may have added up to a total of six hours. That's just the kind of guy he was.
Now, my birthday will be bittersweet, remembering meeting me, and remembering having to say goodbye.

I could talk about anything with him, whether that be Doctor Who, our current music tastes, how we felt and how we were feeling. He could make me happy by singing, and changing up the lyrics to the song Laura Marling by Beans on Toast.

There is never enough words, I think of more every day. As a marginal tribute, Doctor Who quotes always seem to suit us:
'It's sad when it's over. I'll always be here. But this is when we talked. And now, even that has come to an end. There's something I didn't get to say to you.'

Tomorrow will bring new thoughts and new words, but this is fitting for my beautiful boy.

Galactic Swirl
Star Light Star Bright bath melt
Space Girl bath-bomb

This cocktail makes my citrus senses tingle! It is space space inspired, smells of parma violets, and lime.
The bath takes you to a whole new world, sparkling and swirling. It's also super softening due to the bath melt.

Witchy Cauldron
Wizard bubble bar
Northern Lights bath-bomb

This cocktail is my perfect Hallowe'en mix. The bath becomes a magical purple colour, the products feel like you're making a Witches brew, and the bubbles just add to the magic. There's sparkles, sweet smells, and sumptuous skin.

Just a reminder to be quick - Wizard is for Hallowe-en only! Hopefully you've got Wizard in a haul!
