PLANNING A HOLIDAY PART 1, LOCATION AND BOOKING

In Summer 2016, me and a friend are taking the epic adventure to Orlando, which I haven't visited since I was 8, and my friend has never stepped foot in the USA. This is to celebrate my end of uni, and her start.

The first steps we took was to look at dates, we knew around the start of Summer would be a good idea as it's just before peak season when the prices start to increase. With this in mind, we headed down to the travel agents - an obvious step, but they can really help collate ideas.

With a date in mind, it was easy to search with an agent the best deals for a budget of around £700 in the International Drive area to allow access to all the theme parks and shopping without the necessity of driving or being bound to one area or Orlando itself.

Top Tip: Driving
If you're 21 and over you can drive in America, depending on the company. You may have to have been driving X amount of years, and a lot of tax is added p/day.
If you're 25 and over, you are not charged this tax.

We looked around for the best deals and decided that Thomas Cook provided us with a friendly service, good deal, and familiarity. We booked into a 3 star hotel, flights, and they were totally helpful in booking our transfers as well, and with that, we placed our deposit!
